The RSF condemns the SAF aerial bombardment targeting Mallet Market in Northern Darfur

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) strongly condemn the heinous massacres carried out by SAF air raids against innocent civilians on Tuesday in the market of Mellit, North Darfur state. These atrocities, executed under the direct orders of the criminal Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, commander of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), resulted in killing and wounding over 200 civilians.

The crimes of aerial bombardment targeting civilians in residential neighborhoods and markets through the use of barrel bombs expose the level of despair and the sense of loss suffered by the terrorists. These acts signify their recourse to mass destruction and the resort to a scorched-earth policy following the failure of the Islamic terrorist movement to suppress and humiliate the people of Sudan by igniting a devastating war.

We hold the SAF militias and the terrorist organization fully accountable for the massacres committed. They constitute war crimes and acts of genocide against the Sudanese people. We call upon the members of our society, activists and human rights organizations to condemn these heinous crimes and express their solidarity with the families of the victims to ensure that the perpetrators of these crimes are held accountable. Furthermore, we urge the independent media outlets to expose and highlight these atrocities.

We reiterate that our forces remain committed in their mission to liberate our people from the grip of the "gang of Port Sudan," paving the way for a new era defined by peace, justice, and the rebuilding of Sudan on new foundations.
